This was one of my favorite bouquet of the 2011 season.  With a bit of melancholy I think about the season of weddings and warm weather! Although the March weddings weren’t quite as warm!!  I adore the Holiday season but I am already excitedly anticipating and working on next seasons weddings.

It has been an unseasonably warm fall and winter here in MN, but  snow has fallen for the second time and the cold temps have moved in, so I thought it would be nice to send a little summer bouquet your way in the following photo to give hope that warmer days will be back (hopefully sooner than later.)  Enjoy!

Finally having a chance to go through and post the photographer”s images.  They actually do justice (unlike my own) to the awesome bride and groom-Lisa and Mike, the gorgeous flowers, and the fantastic venue-Rush Creek Golf Course in Maple Grove, MN .  Kudos to Bruce Challgren of Photopixels for the fantastic photos!

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her ‘beauty tips.’ 

It was read at her funeral years later. 

 For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. 

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

   For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.

Last Saturday turned out to be a busy day with a wedding to do and then mid-week being asked by Julie Boehm, Marketing Director for the 50th & France Business Association and the Edina Art Fair if Soul of the Rose would provide an arrangement for their upcoming Bridal Fair.

 As a forist, I was surprised and happy to be called  upon to create special boutonnieres and corsages for the Minnetonka, MN High School 2011 Homecoming attendees.  Actually, I had no idea I was on anyone’s radar for homecoming flowers so it was kind of cool to be sought after.  Because this was completely unexpected and I was not prepared I was only able to do two  sets of corsages and boutonniers.  O.K. ….so note to self:  Always be ready for the unexpected!
